COVID-19 TRAVEL INDUSTRY MONITOR

 A slew of graphs and figures are found here produced by the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce.  Seems travel is a bit up, compared to the lows 2 years ago. Hotel occupancy is dropping again too.

Trade.gov also has these neat one page "fast facts" sheets that are good as infographics.  And a bit more detailed ones as the example here.

 This is one of those examples when it is not a good idea to "save" your credit card information on a website.

British Airways fined £20m over data breach

"The data stolen included log in, payment card and travel booking details as well name and address information."

Remember this the next time your purchase online asks if you want to save the credit card number.

Treesearch is the Best

I really like Scholar Google for finding research, but an all time favorite is Treesearch.  More than just trees mind you, but a whole slew of social and natural resource management stuff.  And in January they reached a milestone "As of January 2018, the Forest Service has added more than 50,000 full-text peer-reviewed publications to Treesearch, an online source for agency science publications."
