Safety for Bicyclists

This is a great idea for those bikers how need to share the road with cars.  Form my experience, most car drivers are good about sharing the road, but there are some a@#%^*#s that don't.

Friends, give bikes a wide berth as you slowly pass.

Cyclists, go single file on busy roads.

thanks.

Our Stanley Park

The public is invited to a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony with Mayor Dan Knapik for the Anderson Bridge in the Frank Stanley Beveridge Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, September 26 at 10:00AM. All are invited for an optional post-dedication Walk, Run, or Bike ride in honor of Doug Anderson. Since 2013, Stanley Park has been raising funds to replace Wildlife Sanctuary trail bridges damaged and washed away in recent storms by hosting the annual Run Stanley 5K, seeking sponsorship, and obtaining grants. Thanks to a generous donation by the Anderson family and public support of the fundraising effort, a first removable floating dock bridge has been installed at the site of the former damaged bridge. This is now accessible from the boardwalk area. An additional bridge farther along the River Trail loop is needed to cross a marshy site where a second bridge was washed away. Raising the remaining funds needed for the second bridge is the goal of the third annual Run Stanley 5k trail run/walk, dog run, and Munchkin Run, to be held on Sunday, October 4 at Stanley Park. Register by September 15 to guarantee a race t-shirt at www.runstanley.com
