Movie Ads from Newspapers

Movie Ads from Newspapers.  (Remember Newspapers?)

Remember Double Features?

Great movie, and great book.

Weird "reality" movie.

El Topo was a bit too much for me.

Gotta have Warhol's flicks.

My copy of Green Slime had Vinegar Syndrome, and I never got to salvage it.

2001 was the first film I saw with a friend.

The Haunting is one of my favorite horror films; leave the lights on.

Can't believe Ray Milland starred in this one.

These two might be rated PG now.

I had a 16mm print of 7 Days in May, but lost it in a fire, bummer.

Even the first James Bond flick.

Never read the book, but saw the movie.

This is one crazy flick.

Four pack.

3-D

Oldie.

Newer.

More Bond.

First feature is a Great Christmas Story.

I love Don Knotts.

No "Negative Waves!"

Joan Crawford.

Just Google, "newspaper movie theater ads."  Also check your favorite online newspaper.

The Creeping Terror

ok, after the previous post, let's keep it going with b-movie crap.  this time with another movie I have on 16 mm:

a great party film.

Watch it at this link.

What is going on here?

This is one jaw dropping film.  (And I got it on 16 mm too).

The Brain That Wouldn't Die

Watch it on the Internet Archive, of course.

What to watch now?

Now that Game of Thrones is over, what is there to watch?

Try this.

16mmFilmtalk.com

One of my hobbies is collecting 16mm movie prints.  I like B Movie style films and currently have about 30 titles in my collection.  Most of the titles I buy from eBay, but I have been more successful with titles from film libraries, direct from other collectors and even companies that sell DVD's.  In fact, I think I will stay away from eBay now since there have been several unpleasant sales and buys recently, and quite frankly it is not as enjoyable as it used to be.

I joined 16 mm Film Talk a few years ago and thoroughly enjoy the forum.  If you are a collector, check it out (16mmFilmtalk.com).

Tonight I checked out my copy of Santo contra los zombies.

Cult movie and Food Drive

yes, as part of the Community Service Day event at Westfield State, we are hosting a movie and food drive tomorrow night.

so, if in the neighborhood, stop on by our campus center lounge and check out the flick!

The Creeping Terror on 16mm

Christmas is early this year when I picked up a 16mm print of The Creeping Terror.  Now, that's entertainment! Google this title to see some clips of the slowest monster on Earth, as well as the slowest army soldiers fighting it.  For a critical review, visit this site.

Just wonderful b-movie madness for next season's film festival!  While not public domain, you can watch the film on YouTube.  Some mighty fine acting too.
