The Community Preservation Act (CPA) is a smart growth tool that helps communities preserve open space and historic sites, create affordable housing, and develop outdoor recreational facilities. CPA also helps strengthen the state and local economies by expanding housing opportunities and construction jobs for the Commonwealth's workforce, and by supporting the tourism industry through preservation of the Commonwealth’s historic and natural resources. Castle Tourism
Had a chance to travel in Wales this past summer and visited several cool castles. Here are some shots.
For Caerphilly...
Then there is the Ogmore Castle...
And the LLanblethian Castle

Wow Went?
Low cost carrier Wow, is leaving Iceland. Believed to be a major contributor to Iceland's incredible growth in international tourism, the question remains to see how much low cost travel is important to tourism for Iceland.
Wow's unexpected departure has left tourists stranded.
I mean, Iceland is not a cheap place to visit. It is not cheap like SE Asia or the Dominican Republic.
But the old saying "you get what you pay for" may be prudent here.

Annual April Fools Day
Well, another year has passed and April 1st is now over.
Will Trump Tower threaten our national park? Let's hope not.

New Trump Tower to Overshadow Grand Canyon
A new Trump Hotel is planned for the Grand Canyon. Mr. Trump seeks to build a 45 story hotel on the South Rim of the Canyon to expand tourism at the National Park. He selected 45 since he is the 45th President of the US. Each room will have a sweeping view of the canyon. Rack rates start at $999.00 a night and up.
Opponents to the proposal are not so concerned about him promoting tourism on public lands, but are afraid the height of the hotel will block the evening sun so much that the canyon will be in darkness an additional 3-7 hours per day. For more information visit https://www.trumphotels.com/GrandTrumpCanyon
